You'll also see wording like: still-sealed, never played, unopened, or scratched. I think all of these terms are pretty self explanatory and you would know that a mint and still sealed Michael Jackson picture album would be much more valuable than one that has been played and has scratches on it.

The record's jacket or sleeve condition will also add to the value if it's in pristine or mint condition.
